Dr. Siti Nur Masyithah binti Ma’arof, a highly experienced Consultant Urologist and the first full-time female Urological Surgeon in Klang Valley’s private hospitals, brings her expertise in female urology to help women understand how hormonal changes impact urinary tract health.
As estrogen levels decline during perimenopause and menopause, the urinary tract becomes more vulnerable to infections due to thinning tissues, reduced natural lubrication, and changes in the vaginal and bladder microbiome. This can lead to frequent UTIs, urinary urgency, and incontinence.

Thank you, Karen and Team, for putting together a well rounded workshop on April 27th 2024. It provided me with firsthand knowledge and insights as I entered midlife, a phase I never imagined I'd need to navigate with such depth, both physically and mentally. I found myself not only learning but also taking the first baby steps in appreciating how far I've come as a woman, and understanding the importance of prioritising myself in the second half of life.
